No matter what you are going through in life, I believe everybody needs an outlet. My outlet has always been music. If I’m upset, stressed, or had a rough day I know listening to music or playing my guitar can center me again. Finding that outlet can be a real key to a healthier, happier you. You may not be able to control everything that happens in your life, but if you know how to deal with the things that set your life off balance, then you’re one step closer to perhaps fixing problems faster or maybe just making the best of whatever situation you are in. Sometimes talking is just the best way of dealing with things too. Like when I get a not so great report from the doctor regarding my Lupus and then me and my mom are driving home. I know I want to talk about it, but I have to listen to some music first. It calms me down and lets everything settle in, then the other half of the way home or when we get home I am ready to talk and ask any questions that I may have. Luckily, my mom is always there for me and unfortunately my mom has Lupus too, so we are going on this journey together. Whether your outlet is dancing when nobody is looking, music, or drawing; these outlets give you a piece of mind and such joy to get through each day.
